SUMMER CAMPS 2023!
Join us for the IDEA Centers' first season of summer camps! All throughout the summer, we will be hosting a variety of engaging camps, from stained glass making to building and operating your very own ROV submersible drone. These camps are limited in availability so reserve your seat soon!
ROV CAMP
Students will design and build an underwater ROV or Remotely Operated Vehicle, a kind of underwater drone. Students will be able to fly their ROV at the end of the camp. Students will learn about buoyancy, density, electronics, and design throughout this camp. At the end of the camp ROV's will be returned to the instructor.

STAINED GLASS STUDIO
Join us for this unique summer camp opportunity! Over the course of four days we will learn to build completely custom, real, stained glass pieces together! We will use a combination of the waterjet and soldering techniques to create our pieces. By the end of this camp, each participant will be able to take home a stained glass piece of their own creation.

WEAVING A TOP JULY SESSION
Join us for this unique summer camp opportunity! This camp will run 3 days a week, for two weeks on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Weave a piece of fabric using a loom and transform it into a one of a kind top.

3D DESIGN CAMP
This camp will introduce students to the world of 3D design using Onshape. This camp is perfect for beginners and experienced designers alike. Students will be met at their skill level and brought as far as possible within the time we have. At the end of the camp, a design challenge will be given to each student where they will be able to create a design and fabricate it on the equipment here at the IDEA Center.

BATTLE BOTS
This fun and exciting summer camp is designed to introduce kids to the world of robotics through the use of LEGO bricks. Participants will learn how to build and operate their own battle bots using LEGO Mindstorms. At the end of the camp, kids will have the opportunity to showcase their bots in a final competition.This camp is perfect for kids who are interested in engineering, robotics, or just love to build and create with LEGO bricks. No prior experience with LEGO Mindstorms is necessary, as the instructor will guide participants through each step of the process.
